Our decorative wall and ceiling panels can be easily applied to any surface. By fitting them yourself using our easy guide, you won't have to hire costly professionals.
Our panels can be fitted to most surfaces and can even be fitted over your existing tiles.
Before fitting the panels, check if the surface is even or not. If the surface is very uneven, battens should be fixed at 50 cm intervals. Leave small gaps to aid ventilation somewhere on each row of battens. They can be screwed, stapled, nailed or glued to the wall.
The most popular method of fixing panels is gluing. If using this method please ensure that the wall is free of dust or grease.
If you use glue, please note the 4 possibilities:
It is important to ensure that when fitting the first panel you check that it is running straight using a spirit level.
When fitting accessories to a panelled wall, for example a bathroom cabinet or mirror, it is important not to over tighten the screws as this can crush the panel. Accessories should be fitted with a bushing: drill a hole in the panel, insert a packing piece (bushing) to it, and then insert the screw. This helps prevent the panel being crushed when something is screwed tightly to the wall.
There are a number of different trims that can be used to complete the installation. All of our trims are colour co-ordinated to perfectly match the panels. It is common to fit the trims to the wall and then fit the panels into position. The most common trim is the J trim, also sometimes referred to as the start/end trim. The typical installation can be seen in the diagram below identified as ( C ). In addition, corner trims can be used for both internal corners ( B ) and external corners ( D ). H Trims can be used to join the panels end to end for an even longer run than 2.7m or when joining a vertical run with a horizontal run. ( A ).
Chrome strips are designed to fit between each panel and can create a great feature. The effect is enhanced when for example fitting chrome down lighters. Chrome strips have a raised profile.
